ENSAIO SOBRE O VISÍVEL

A expografia buscou olhar as obras dos artistas representados pela Galeria Mamute, considerando as possíveis proximidades e diferenças entre pesquisas artísticas específicas em suas proposições conceituais, linguagens e técnicas. O critério norteador/gerador da curadoria foi o contato/experiência com as obras. Em meio ao processo, o título da exposição delineou-se a partir do cruzamento entre os posicionamentos assumidos pelos integrantes do Laboratório de Curadoria em relação aos pontos de conexão - conceituais, poéticos, formais – estabelecidos entre as obras que configuram a mostra. Ensaio sobre o Visível, título que em um primeiro momento remete ao clássico de Saramago, Ensaio sobre a Cegueira, leitura tão oportuna nos dias em que vivemos. Uma narrativa sem ponto final.

The exhibition focused on looking at the represented artists’ artworks, contemplating the proximity and the differences between the specific artistic researches regarding their conceptual propositions, languages and techniques. The curatorial guiding criterion was the contact/experience with artworks. In the middle of the process, the title of the exhibition was delineated based on the crossing of the positions taken by the Curatorial Laboratory members regarding the connection points – conceptual, formal and creative process related aspects – established between the works from the exhibition. Ensaio sobre o visível is a title that at first refers to Saramago’s classic novel, Blindness, such an appropriate reading these days. A narrative with no period.
